Vollenhoofsche Poort

Hier stond tussen 1527 en 1719 de Vollenhoofsche Poort; één van de drie toegangspoorten tot de vesting Zwartsluis. De poort bestond uit een houten poortgebouw waarin twee grote afsluitbare deuren waren aangebracht. Bij de bouw van het huidige pand heeft men nog funderingsresten aangetroffen.

Zwischen 1527 und 1719 stand hier das Vollenhoofsche Poort, eines der drei Eingangstore zur Festung Zwartsluis. Das Tor bestand aus einem hölzernen Torgebäude mit zwei großen abschließbaren Türen. Beim Bau des heutigen Gebäudes hat man noch Fundamentsreste gefunden.

Vollenhoofsche Poort

This was the location of the gateway named Vollenhoofsche Poort between 1527 and 1719; one of the three gateways to the Zwartsluis rampart. The portal consisted of a wooden gatehouse, which had two large lockable doors. During the construction of the current property, additional remains of the foundation were found.
